Self Portrait Grades & Timeline

First, we will be watching a chalk drawing presentation by Sam Glen. The clip we will be watching today, is of him drawing "The Path". Remember, it is a new year! It is "your path" to choose for this year and "your time is now"...

Next, we will be covering your project plans and due dates. Your grades for this six weeks are as follows:

1/8 - Good Riddance and Well Wishes / Positive Participation

Today: You will be working on your layout for your project. You can choose to have your canvas board in Verical (Portrait) Layout, or Horizontal (Landscape) Layout. You must also sketch in where you plan to have your image and what your plans for the foreground, middle ground, and background are. Remember, it must be a narrative about yourself. (Tell a story about who you are as a person!)

Yes, in the sketches of your project you are just mapping out where objects will be placed. You will draw an oval for your head placement and can use other shapes for your different objects. You do not need details.

  1. What do u mean by sketch is it like we draw shapes like a circle sayin its our head and then draw the othr body parts or what??
