Western Texas College Art Competiton

On Saturday the Ralls HS Art Dept. took 10 pieces of art to the WTC Art Contest hosted in Snyder. Four students were able to attend the contest, where they were able to participate in workshops, take a tour of the art facilities, as well as watch the theater department's performance. We had a lot of success at the competition! Trevor placed first and won $75 for his Division 2, 3-D ceramic vase project. Nick won first place and will receive $75 for his Division 1, 3-D metal sculpture. Emily won third place in Division 2, 3-D for her altered book project and will receive $30. Brittany also received an honorable mention for her 3-D, Division 2 metal sculpture project. Other students who participated included Michael, Vanessa, David, and Makinzzie. We had a great time and these kids all deserve a pat on the back for a job well done!
