Yesterday 9/11

For those of you that were absent yesterday, we looked at artwork created by individuals based on their thoughts and feelings towards the September 11, 2001 Terrorist Attacks. While we listened to President Bush's Address to the Nation we viewed these images...

We discussed how artists developed these types of monuments.

Finally, we brainstormed by listing 25 words that came to mind when we heard the numbers 9/11. Next, we took those words and drew for the remainder of class. Students were asked to draw lines and images that reflected their emotions and depicted the 25 words that they came up with.
